If the pub is a family pub like a harvester or retaurant pub you can go in at any age, but if its a normal bar then you have to be 18 or over.

There is no age limit, that would be ageist! people under the age of eighteen normally have to be out of the premises between 8-9 pm, although if they have a beer garden, they can stay as long as they want, saying that though, some public houses do not allow children at all.

I think it is normally at the age of 18

Changes in the Licensing Act for the UK have meant that local authorities can dictate when children are allowed on premises and when not to a large extent.

Generally it means that no one under the age of 16 can be on licensed premises without an adult.

There are enormous differences from place to place and exemptions.

However no one under the age of 18 is allowed to consume or attempt to purchase alcohol on licensed premises. It is also illegal to supply some one under that age with alcohol.

You will need to check the local legislation.

In my opinion, you should be at least 18 or 21.

If under 14, a pub that has children's certificate can be entered. An adult must accompany when one is under 16 and you need to be 18 or over to go to a pub alone according to state law.
