How old is Peter Pan?

The age was never specifically determined by his creator, J.M. Barrie. But the Peter Pan statue in Kengsinton Gardens, London, was designed with photos of a 6-years old Michael Llewelyn Davis who was Barrie's friend and this intent for the statue was Barrie's own vision of Peter's age. In the book's text content Peter acts and speaks like a 5-6 years old and physically he's described to still have all his first teeth - whereas all the other hints refer to an 8-years old at the oldest. Barrie also allowed early illustrations of his novel to portray Peter as a few years older than six. But mind you, Peter unavoidably gets a little bit older every time he leaves Neverland to visit London, and he did this a lot during the first few years (described in the other canon novel Peter Pan in Kengsinton Gardens.) So...Judging by all the facts, J.M. Barrie intented Peter Pan to be something between 6-8 years old.

Disney, for some reason, chose to increase his age to some 12-years old in their own vision. (Although they used a 15-years old voice actor for the 1953 cartoon which I find very stupid seeing to that Peter's supposed to be a child who won't grow up and a 15-years old is a teenager as in quite grown-up already.) The 2003 live-action movie which borrows stuff from Disney but is not Disney's product, means Peter to be 12-years old.

But, as said, the authentic, original Peter Pan is supposed to be something between 6-8 years old.

In number of years in existence he is in the least many decades old, perhaps even over a hundred years, as the novel 'Peter Pan' reveals Peter was a legend already when Wendy's mother was a little girl.
