You have to be 12, but if you are over 57 in. you can sit in the front, at any age.
You have 3 children and your eldest has to sit in the front as you can not get three booster seats in the back your daughter is six and small you worry about the air bag being on is she safe?
It all depends on if your car has a passenger airbag. If it does then she would probably not be safe. However if your car does not havea passenger side airbag, then using a 3 point harnessed booster seat she would be fine. Hope this answers your question.
It depends on the laws of your home state, but in the State of Texas all children younger than 8 years old, unless taller than 4'9", are required to be in the appropriate child safety seat system wherever they ride in a passenger vehicle. The safety seat system MUST be installed according to the man…ufacturer's instructions. Another way of saying this is: When a child reaches their 8th birthday - no matter their height, it is legal for the child to use only the adult safety belt in the passenger vehicle. However, the best safety practice is: if the child is not yet 4'9", they are better protected if they continue to use the appropriate child safety seat system until they can properly fit in the adult safety belt. . You have to be at least 8 years old, but the law says for New York,California, Florida, Texas, Georgia and Alabama you have to be at least 11 years old to sit in the front seat.
you have to be at least 13 my mom and dad asked a cop and it is 13 years of age to sit in the front seat of a car
Child must be in forward-facing child seat, located in back seat if back seat is present. Child 4-8 between 40 and 80 pounds: Child must be in a forward-facing booster seat. Seat is not required to be placed in back seat.
It varies with state laws. Check with your local DMV office. In most places it should be about 13 years old maybe 12 or 14 but mostly 13. In Texas, there is no law about it, it is just recommended that the older, the better.
Check out this URL for lots of information on Ontario's seatbelt requirements. http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/safety/seatbelt.shtml Children under the age of thirteen are safest in a rear seat away from the most likely point of contact in an accident. i hope this helps thanxs :)
yes if you can turn off the airbag and they have to way 80 pounds and be at least 4ft9
You have to be over the age of 6 and have to weigh about 60 or more pounds.
California Law requires all children who are 6 years of age or less and weigh less than 60 pounds to be transported in a Child Restraint System. Anyone older or weighs more than that is allowed to sit in front. Now I am only talking about California. I don't know globally. But IMO, what is good for …CA is good federally. Thanks (MORE)
I think you should be at least 5 feet tall, but there is no law for height. There is only a law for age, but it's a state law so it's different everywhere. For example, if you live somewhere where the state law is you have to be 14 (This is off the top of my head but in NJ its 12) and you trav…el to NJ (New Jersey) where it is 12, and you're thirteen, then you can sit in the front. Hope this helps ;) (MORE)
The new state law for NC is isueed march 19, 2009 that any person that is atleast 11 years of age and over 60 pounds can sit in the front seat with parent permission.. this is the new law so most say 12 years of age that is old and wrong!
You can be any age. If you are a baby or small child you should have your own safety seat which is approved for use with seatbelts.
All children should be placed in the back seat until 12 yrs of age. If they are sitting up front the air bag has to be turned off.
In New York at what age can a child sit in the front seat of a car with both front and side air bags?
Age is not determined for this ... size and weight is the determining factor. There is no law in NY that a child can sit in the front seat. Anyone can but the reccomended weight is 100 pounds and 4'11 for the height.
\n42 inches and 58 lbs. They should be the size of an average 12 year old. At least, that's what it says in my car.
You have to be 13 years old if you are in England but I don't know about other countries.
The height of the child is more important, but for the right height they should probably be around 12 or older
How tall and heavy should a child be to sit in the front seat of a car that has an air bag in Indianapolis?

Wisconsin law states children 3 and under must sit in a rear seat, if available; however, the state recommends children under 13 also sit in a rear seat. According to a joint study by Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and State Farm Insurance, motor vehicle accidents are the leading cause of de…ath for children in the US. In Wisconsin, more than 2,000 children are killed or injured in traffic accidents each year. Front seat passengers under the age of 13 are 40% more likely to be injured in an accident than those over 13. Front passenger-side airbags also increase the potential for injury to younger children. The study noted no additional risk for properly restrained 13- to 15-year-olds. Wisconsin's child passenger safety laws are among the weakest in the nation, which has resulted in the state losing federal transportation incentive dollars. In an effort to improve their safety record, Wisconsin recently enacted a booster seat law with the following requirements: Child Booster Seat Rules Children must be in a car seat until they reach age 4 and in a booster seat until they reach age 8. . Less than 1 year old, or less than 20 lbs. must be in a rear-facing child seat in the back seat (if so equipped). . Age 1 to age 4, or less than 40 lbs. must be in a forward-facing child seat in the back seat (if so equipped). . Age 4 to age 8, between 40-80 lbs., and no more than 4 ft. 9 ins. must be in a booster seat. . Transportation rule 310 specifically exempts children who are incapable of being transported due to body size, medical condition or disabilities. These children may use regular seat belts. The fine for failing to comply with this law is $75.00. (MORE)
You at least have to b 12 to sit in the front of a car
12 or 13. You have to be over 5 feet tall and weigh at least 100 pounds so you don't get hurt from the airbag in an accident
We recommend that a child sit in the rear seat until they are 13 years of age. The important thing is that the child is properly restrained. The law does not specify how old the child has to be to sit in the front seat. There is a label on the backside of the flip-down mirror on the passenger seat that usually tells what age. On most cars the recommended age is 13.
Well, legally you have to be 12. However it may vary depending on your state's laws. Really, you can be any age. Being safe, and legal, you have to be 12. At least that's what it usually is.
You must be 13 of age, 5' 2" and weigh 110 to sit up front on the passenger side of a car with and adult seatbelt
It's a matter of height rather than age. Typically, people fivefeet and over can sit in the front seat of a vehicle, while carseats are made to accommodate children under four feet.
It's usually 10-12 depending on their height and if the seatbelt will fit around them proplerly.
Its a matter of weight and height. The height should be 4"9. Age, is over 8 years old.
Yes, there is a law in every state for children sitting in the front seat.
(in the US) Babies should not be riding in the front seat of vehicles under ANY circumstances.
12 I am pretty sure Added: This can vary WIDELY according to height/weight/age according to the laws of the various states. Check with you local DMV or law enforcement agency.
It is legal for any child of any age to ride in the front seat ofany vehicle in Canada. There are no specific laws making thisillegal. Transport Canada recommends turning off their airbag whenpossible and notes that the back seat would be safer. But sincemany vehicles, including pick up trucks witho…ut backseats and manysports cars, smart cars, etc, only have front seats, it's perfectlyokay for any child to sit in the front, provided they are properlyrestrained and using the appropriate child safety seat. if a child were to sit in the front seat and an accident happened the air bag would inflate and hit the child in the face at a good velocity to bruise, and crack not break the bones of a grown adult. the airbags would kill the child crushing their skull.
I think you have to be aged ten or eleven or a certain height, but I'm quite tall for my age, so I've been sitting in it since I was eight. FREEDOM! it is better to stick us in the back, until you are certain age for safety reasons.
Many people say the age is 12 yet i am not sure there is an official age, i think one condition is being able to sit safely in a car without a booster seat.
If you're talking about the front seat of a car... You have to be in a car seat until you're 8... So it would be after you got of a car seat and when the seatbelt fits you correctly
