It doesn't say so in the Koran. It says it in the Hadith.

Volume 7, Book 62, Number 88:Narrated by 'Ursa The Prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with 'Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death).
Volume 5, Book 58, Number 234:Narrated by 'Aisha The Prophet engaged me when I was a girl of six (years). We went to Medina and stayed at the home of Bani-al-Harith bin Khazraj. Then I got ill and my hair fell down. Later on my hair grew (again) and my mother, Um Ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girl friends. She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became Allright, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, "Best wishes and Allah's Blessing and a good luck." Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah's Apostle came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age.
Volume 5, Book 58, Number 236:Narrated by Hisham's father Khadija died three years before the Prophet departed to Medina. He stayed there for two years or so and then he married 'Aisha when she was a girl of six years of age, and he consumed that marriage when she was nine years old.
She married the prophet when she was nine years old
Possibly earlier; mohammed is believed to have consumated the mariage around the this age.
------------------------------------------------
9 years old
However, a scholar believes that marriage was offered to Muhammad when she was 6 years old.
At the age of 9 she became betrothed to him.
The real age of marriage is 15-20.[most likely 19]
(or so does he believe.)
Some people accuse Muhammad(peace be upon him) many bad accusations about this marriage, Saying that he married a girl who is under age, because they believe that he married her in the age of 9.
Actually, at the time it was normal for a 9 year old girl to get married; as the hard environment has already made her an adult.
In fact, other people had already proposed to her.
Answer 1
Aisha 19 years and prophet Muhammad 54
Aisha was 19 years old when she got married. This was in the year 2 A.H. or around year 624 AD. Prophet Mohamed was around 54 years old when married with Aisha (he was born in year 570 AD).
see related link for more information.
There is a Muslim Hadith Narrated Urwa: "The prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death)." [Bukhari, vol. 7, no. 88]. However, this information is not sure of especially that there was at that time no reliable records for birthrates especially for female babies.
Answer 2
The age of Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her at her marriage is not assured. Many Muslim scholars argue that she was 19 years old when she got married & even if she was 9 that never means that she was a child. It's about a marriage that happened in Arabia where the weather is very hot & people reach puberty much earlier than in other environments. In the Islamic religion there's no fixed age of marriage which is very wise because people reach the maturity age at different times, this varies over time & across the regions with variant climate conditions.
So it's unjustifiable & illogical to criticize a marriage that took place in Arabia some 1400 years back?!! *. According to many Arabic historical resources, Aisha was ALREADY promised in marriage by another man before her engagement to the prophet Muhammad, peace be upon Him. So, it clearly shows that young marriage was quite normal in that society.*. It was Allah, the Almighty who ordered that marriage. By this marriage Aisha, may Allah be pleased with her, was raised & nurtured with the Islamic knowledge. This reveals a part of Allah's unlimited wisdom behind that marriage considering the fact that Aisha is one of the greatest Muslim scholars, narrated many hadiths of the prophet Muhammad PBUH & taught the Muslims a lot about their religion.*. Surely, an objection to such young marriage can only be shown if some harm was caused by it. All evidences point to the opposite since it was a very happy marriage.

Answer 3
Muhammad was 49 when he married Ayesha legally and 52 when the marriage was consummated.
As to Ayesha's age, here are her own words.
Abu Dawud 41:4915. Narrated Ayesha, Mother of the Believers: The Apostle of Allah (P) married me when I was seven or six. When we came to Medina, some women came. According to Bishr's version: Umm Ruman came to me when I was swinging. They took me, made me prepared and decorated me. I was then brought to the Apostle of Allah (P), and he took up cohabitation with me when I was nine. She halted me at the door, and I burst into laughter.
Abu Dawud 41:4917. Narrated Ayesha, Mother of the Believers: When we came to Medina, the women came to me when I was playing on the swing, and my hair was up to my ears. They brought me, prepared me, and decorated me. Then they brought me to the Apostle of Allah (P) and he took up cohabitation with me, when I was nine.
Tabari vol. 9 p. 131. My mother came to me while I was being swung on a swing between two branches and got me down. My nurse wiped my face with some water and started leading me. When I was at the door she stopped so I could catch my breath. I was then brought in while the Messenger was sitting on a bed in our house. My mother made me sit on his lap. Then the men and women got up and left. The Prophet consummated his marriage with me in my house when I was nine years old.
Sahih Muslim 8:3311. Ayesha reported that Allah's Apostle married her when she was seven years old, and she was taken to his house as a bride when she was nine, and her dolls were with her; and when he died she was eighteen years old.
The contributor who mentions that the ancient Arabs did not always keep exact records of ages is correct. However the histories of the time show that most people knew their age to plus or minus twelve months. It is absurd to suggest that the calculation of a child's age could have been ten years out. Ayesha would have remembered how tall she was, whether or not she understood adult conversations, and whether or not it was considered age-appropriate that she played with dolls and swings.
Ayesha and her father were both people who had phenomenal memories. There was no limit to the number of fiddly details they could memorise and recall. I would be extremely cautious of accusing Ayesha of not knowing her own age.

Khadija died three years before the Prophet departed to Medina. He stayed there for two years or so and then he married 'Aisha when she was a girl of six years of age, and he consumed that marriage when she was nine years old. Answer 4It is important to emphasize that at the prophet time there was no accurate recordings of ages. So, all what is narrated are coming from one source and are based on guessing and rough estimation. So, the only way is to validate the different narrations and judge on their authenticities and not to rely only on narrations. That is why one is kindly invited to refer to the referred link and judge with you mind especially that; as mentioned above in Answer C; that when father of Aisha , Abu Bakr, was approached on behalf of the Prophet, he replied that the girl had already been betrothed to some one called Jubair, and that he would have to settle the matter first with him. This shows that Aisha must have been approaching majority at the time.
Answer 5
Aisha clearly told her nephew Urwa, who told his servant Habib (not his son Hisham) that she was born "at the beginning of the fourth year of prophethood" (Ibn Saad, Tabaqat, vol. 8, p. 55 in Bewley's translation). If Aisha knew the time of year, she is unlikely to have been wrong about the year itself. That year began on 25 October 613, so we know she was born within a few weeks of that date.
That she was engaged as early as 615 is no big deal. In those days, betrothals were arranged over cradles. It isn't a matter for "criticism", other than the basic point that nearly all societies, throughout history, have ignored children's rights over the matter of informed consent. In that respect, seventh-century Arabia was no worse than most other cultures. The betrothal is additional proof that Aisha was born before 615 (which we already knew from Habib's word above) but it doesn't prove that she was any particular age at that date.
The suggestion that Aisha was some age other than nine comes mainly from Moiz Amjad, who derived his work from M. M. Ali (a well-meaning Ahmadiyya who disapproved of child-marriage) and Kandhalvi (who was rewarded with a fatwa for being a "hadith-denier" and an infidel). These writers ignored the great weight of hadith tradition and relied on evidence that might indirectly contradict that tradition - which displays a very naïve grasp of research methods. They have been pretty well refuted by Shaykh Jibril Haddad. Read his work by googling for "Our Mother A'isha's Age At The Time Of Her Marriage to The Prophet" at Sunni Path. Haddad is a Muslim scholar but, for the record, he is not in favour of child-marriage for modern times, and he has spoken out against terrorism.
