There is a very basic way to defrost a ham. All you have to do is fill your sink up with luke-warm water enough to submerge the ham. You don't want really hot water because this will actually start to cook the ham. Just let the ham sit over night in the water and it should be ready to cook in the morning.

Really, just heat and eat. You could jazz it up by mixing some mustard and brown sugar togaeter, coating the entire ham and heating at 350 until glaze is golden brown. save the bone for delicious Split - Pea soup. Buy a bag of split peas and boil together with lots of water and ham bone. Add onions and diced carrots for extra flavor. Enjoy!

Cover it with foil loosly so it will not over brown, cook aprox 20-25 mins per pound. Watch closely, if it is not browned enough twards the end uncover for last ten or fifteen mins. Always check down near the bone to be sure it is safely fully cooked, a meat thermomitor is a very useful tool for cooking as well.

......there is a difference between an already fully cooked ham and a raw one, check the package to be sure. Many picnic hams are fully cooked.

One would to preheat the oven to about 275 degrees Fahrenheit, remove the packaging and place the ham face down directly into a baking dish or roasting pan. Then one would cover it tightly with a lid, foil, or place it in a paper bag and heat it at the aforementioned temperature for approximately twelve to fifteen minutes per pound.

Depends if its frozen or not but 300 degree to 350 degrees add 30 min if frozen for every pound. I like to cook mine for 2 to 2 1/2 hours depending if you like it dry or not.
