How successful are mail order bride marriages?

The answer in part is going to depend upon what one considers a successful marriage.

Unlike most American women that I have been exposed to mail order brides are willing to work hard (inside and outside the home) and are college educated, articulate and self driven. Remember these women took a big risk to leave their countries for the sake of their children, families and future lives. Perhaps, as a result of their commitment mail order brides have a divorce rate of 20% while American women have a divorce rate of 52%.

For me being married to a woman that is intelligent, college educated, hard working, beautiful and loves me and our children was well worth the inconvenience of "meshing" our two cultures. We now whistle in the house, every night, together.J
