If the 6x9 speakers are behind the back seat take the covers out look for screws,if you don't see any open the trunk and you should be able to do it from there.
Try to use Toyota speaker adapter plugs so you don't need to cut wires and mess the electric system up. You can get them from Ebay or Amazon.1. Remove Back bottom seat by pulling it out.
2. Remove 2 side cushion by unbolting it
3. take out the black armor piece in back of the back seat. use a screw driver to pick out those black things that hold it in.
4. Gently remove tail light. Then unplug.
5. move that big fat thing blocking ur speakers. There are safety anchors with caps on it. Remove the cap by pressing the outer shell outwards(took me a while the first time)
6. Now you see your speakers, use a screw driver to pry the speakers up. The speakers are glued to the car.
You most likely have to take out the back seat which will make access to speakers much easier. to remove the back seat you need to pull on the bottom part of the seat near the back, pulling toward the front of the car so that you can see in between the seat rest and the back rest. you will see one bolt in the center. use an extended ratchet to undo. then(even without taking the lower piece completely off) unbolt the two bolts connecting the upper back rest. after that pull up to remove from top hooks. after removing these parts you should have a gap where you can see directly into your trunk. from there it should be a simple unscrew process to take out the speakers. i don't know about the 2006 but in the older model corolla it was necessary to take out the entire carpeted panel up behind the rear seats. this just means you need to pop out some clips and possibly the rear window tail light.
This is all from an older corolla so it may vary slightly. i just thought id help since there was no answer.

a solinoid is nothing but a relay... (it is a coil) when you put potential through it it causes an electromagnetic field causing contacts to change.. the only thing that will cause it to *die* is a broken wire or if the contacts points are burnt..
