First of all you need to heat the ovent to 350 degrees f.

Ingredients

4 tablespoons melted butter

2 eggs

1 cup sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla

1/2 cup flour

1/3 cup Hershey's Cocoa

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

Directions

* Grease a 9-inch square pan.

* In medium bowl, stir butter, sugar, and vanilla together. * Add eggs, and with a wooden spoon beat well. * Stir together flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt. * Add to egg mixture, beat until well blended. * At this point, if you want, you can add nuts and Chocolate Chips to the batter * Spread batter into greased pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until brownies begin to "pull away" from the pan. * Cool completely in pan. * While cooling, make frosting. To make frosting ... in a small mixer bowl beat 3 tablespoons softened butter, 3 tablespoons cocoa, 1 tablespoon light corn syrup or honey, 1/2 teaspoon vanilla until blended. Add 1 cup powdered sugar and 1 cup milk; beat until smooth and of spreading consistency. Add additional milk, 1/2 teaspoon at a time, if needed. * Spread frosting over cool brownies and cut brownies into squares.

First Step: Melting and Mixing

First, in a microwavable dish, melt the 1/4 cup of butter (make sure that the butter is completely melted, otherwise it will not mix in with the other ingredients, and you will have to start over). Then stir this into the 6 Tablespoons of Unsweetened Cocoa.


Second Step: Mixing Brownie Batter

Now, combined with the butter and cocoa--mix in thoroughly:

I Cup Sugar

2 Eggs

1/2 Teaspoon Vanilla Extract

1/3 Cup Flour

1/4 Teaspoon Salt


Third Step: Flouring The Brownie Pan

You will need to flour the baking pan. First, cover the glass dish with Crisco (vegetable fat) or butter. Then, put a few tablespoons of flour or cocoa in the dish, and shake it until the sides and bottom are covered. This will keep the brownies from sticking to the dish.

Pour the brownie batter into the dish.


Fourth Step: Cooking and Cooling Brownies

After your oven has preheated to 325F, put the brownies into the oven for 35-40 minutes. Poke your brownies with a toothpick. If the tooth pick comes out clean, your brownies are done! Now, take them out of the oven and let them cool until slightly warm. You are ready to cut and serve.
