You'll need a transmission jack. Harbor Freight sells a transmission jack rated at 400 lbs. for around $75-80 which should be suitable for the task. You raise the jack up to the transmission, secure the transmission onto the jack, and then you first remove the driveshaft. This is a simple matter of unbolting it from the differential input and knocking it out. Then, the driveshaft should just pull away from the transmission output shaft. Then you drain the fluid out of the transmission, disconnect any electrical connectors, and unbolt the transmission. You might be able to just unbolt the bell housing, or you might have to unbolt the transmission and bell housing separately. The transmission will probably be supported by a crossmember, and this will have to be unbolted, as well. At this point, the engine may not be supported, and it may be necessary to place a floor jack with extension or another transmission jack under the engine to support it.
