Tips;
Cleaning a horse stall is fairly simple. Depending on what type of bedding is being used will determine the type of tool you'll need. For straw you'll need a pitchfork, for anything else you'll need a manure fork. Considering that straw is rarely used nowadays I'll describe the method used with a manure fork. First remove the horse and it's feed and water buckets from the stall, then pick up all visible soiled areas and place them in a muck bucket or cart. Next begin to sift through the bedding using the fork to work the bedding into a corner of the stall. Once all soiled areas are removed, sweep up the dust from the floor and put down any stall freshener that may be needed. If the horse will be out for the day allow the bedding to stay in the corner and the stall to air dry. Once that is done replace the bedding and add some to make up for what was thrown out. Then replace the horse and it's buckets.
To wash a horse you'll need a bucket, a water source, sponges , sweat scraper, and shampoo. Fill up the bucket with water and add a capful or two of the horse shampoo. Using the sponge sponge the shampoo onto the horse and scrub in circles. Once the horse has been scrubbed clean you may gently rinse the horse off until no more suds are coming off of him. After that then you need to wash the mane and tail scrub shampoo down into the roots of the mane and rinse well. Save the tail for last and dunk it in the bucket of soapy water and swish it around, then scrub it with your fingers until clean, rinse thoroughly. Once rinsed off use the sweat scraper to swipe away the last of the water.
Try taming it first=)
You don't want to just full out squirt it with water; You will make it afraid of water and it might be scared for life =(
Well this can depend on several things, but typically a horse only needs to be shampooed twice a month. But you can rinse the sweat and gunk off of a horse daily if you'd like.
A special horse shampoo and a sponge
cowboy magic horse shampoo
I honestly use my shampoo on my horse. unless you have a wild horse then any horse shampoo at your local stable or club should work
yes you can use human shampoo on a horse's mane and tail. I use human shampoo on my horses it is WAY better than horse shampoo!
NO! if you are going to use anything other than horse shampoo, use dog shampoo, or at the very least baby shampoo. Use something very mild, human shampoo is too harsh for horses and will strip all the helpful oils away and leave the horse open to all kinds of problems.
any type but its better to be special horse shampoo
Its shampoo you clean your horse with.
No, if you use shampoo on a horse everyday it'll cause the horses skin to dry out and cause skin problems. It's best to shamppo a horse once every other week and just rinse the horse with water inbetween bathings.
Use mane and tail shampoo
well you could put it in pony tails alot or use a special shampoo like horse hair shampoo

Only use horse soap to wash your horse. Other soaps can strip your horse of his natural oils that make him shiny and protect him. I know most human shampoos will dry out the skin of most animals. Some may even cause your horse to have allergic reactions, rashes, etc. So, only use horse shampoo on your horse just to be safe. How would our shampoo strip a horse of its natural oils!? Uhhh, hello, we have natural oils in our hair too, so your saying we our selves shouldn't use our shampoo! Well, that's a new one, tell me when it's on the news, cause I sure as heck haven't seen it there! I suggest Dawn dish soap it works awesome on horses especially white horses!
