GDP (gross domestic product) is the most common metric for measuring the wealth of a country. It is basically the sum of all money spent by everyone during a year (whether individuals, companies or government) minus imports (paid here but produced elsewhere) plus exports (produced here but paid elsewhere).
GDP is not necessarily the same as wealth, but it is a number that is easily available.
