blacks and white were completely separated. in the early 1600 black people were brought over to America to serve as slaves and the conditions were terrible. butt things didn't get much better blacks were restricted from things every one should have such as voting. they were made to use different cubicles and go to different schools and could only have certain seats on a bus. they were treated as scum or lower life and called things such as Negros or colored were being beaten and hung purely for the fact of there skin color. one picture shows a black man being hung and the audience were full of white people laughing and hangings like these where treated as a social event.
