many immigrants worked at the transcontinental railroad and the way they got food was at first people of their city kept coming back and forth to them with food, when the journey became more harsh and long no more food was sent and the workers had to eat anything they found and due to the fact that there warent many thing able to be eaten many workers died.

∙ 14y agothey were only fed lunch, and even that they were required to bring form home. Many railroad workers only ate in the morning and in th evening when they came home from work.
