To be Christ like would be to worship and pray to the same God that Jesus worshiped and prayed to:

  • Jesus said to him, "Away from me, Satan! For it is written: 'Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.'" [Matthew 4:10]
  • Going a little farther, he (i.e. Jesus) fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will." [Matthew 26:39]
  • So they took away the stone. Then Jesus looked up and said, "Father, I thank you that you have heard me (i.e. my prayer and request that you raise Lazarus from the dead!). I knew that you always hear me, but I said this for the benefit of the people standing here, that they may believe that you sent me." [John 11:41-42]
