Marijuana remains illegal in Canada but there is very little enforcement. Each province has its own rules and law enforcement. British Columbia has essentially no enforcement except for large growing operations and DWI offenses. The various Canadian courts have rules some of Canada's pot laws to be unenforceable.
In the UK Cannabis is illegal, and is a class B drug. For possession, carries a penalty of 5 years in prison or an unlimited fine or both.
