I may be wrong but it sounds like your alarm is the problem. This happened to my brother's van(Astro). The built-in cutoff switch in his alarm was preventing the van from starting. It may be possible to disconnect the alarm system and try to start it. That's what my brother did and it worked.
It could be that the battery in the remote is low. Replace the battery first. If that does not fix the problem, take it to a shop that repairs car alarms. Many have been fixed just by replacing the battery. Prior to the battery going completely out, it will cause the alarm to misread.
The alternator or a poor wiring connection.
If your alarm goes off while you turn your ignition key this could be signaling a problem with the vehicle's power. Have your battery tested to ensure that it has enough juice to power your vehicle. You may then want to look for corrosion on the battery posts or battery cable ends.
take negative off batt. and wait 30 secs. it will restart comp.
it could be the your idle is set to low and your car is on the verge of stalling out (TURN UP IDLE JUST A TOUCH )
I just had this happen on my F250. The manual says problem with the electical charging system. I went ahead and drove it until the power production completely failed. I am going to change my alternator but it could possible be the voltage regulator.
There is no problem...the problem was the alternator. You have fixed the problem.
replace the battery . it could be your battery is not genuine one . :)
You have to turn the keys into the ignition on the vehicle. That's how i found out to stop it. It is due to your battery sending different voltage to the car which sents off the alarm. I never tried this though there is a little switch that flips to the left and the right close to the battery. It has wired leading to the battery so it could possible kill the alarm. Oh and if your alarm is going off that means your battery is either busted or if its new that means your alternator is. That's how i fixed mine.
could be a problem with your alarm, have you recently installed a new car alarm? Have it checked out by your dealer.
An auto battery could be leaking for a couple of reasons. The alternator could be overcharging the battery causing the leakage. Or the battery itself could have a short or other internal problem causing it to leak when charging.
Something is usually on that you don't know about like an alarm could be draining the battery. However, If its not starting you should check the starter though. It will make you think the battery is bone dead.
