6/7/06. I was pulled over today and received a ticket for impeding. Since I have a good driving record, the officer did not want to mess it up by giving me a speeding ticket. He explained to me that the impeding ticket had 0 points, compared to a speeding ticket with 3 points. The impeding ticket in Michigan is $140, but I thanked him for giving me a break. I don't need my insurance to go up any higher than what it already is!
It depends on the county where the citation was issued as some counties or cities impose certain fees. But in general it shoul be approximately $200.
Obstructing traffic does not put points on your license, and is usually just around a $30 fine
No, online traffic schools do not deduct points from your license. However, if you have got a traffic ticket while downtown, mostly you would only have to pay a fine. Points won't be deducted from your license unless it is a serious offence.
It is sometimes a trade off where you can avoid losing points by taking the class. You usually will still pay the traffic fine as well.
Generally fines for traffic violations are up to the individual jurisdictions within certain guidelines. I can tell you that the fine for driving without insurance is almost always more than the cost of the insurance would have been.
