∙ 11y agoJust because there are no broken bones doesn't mean there are serious injuries - soft tissue trauma such as a lacerated spleen or fractured liver can cause fatal internal bleeding. If the dog is not dead or dying upon impact, most will at least try to get up within 30 seconds. Regardless of the dog's reaction (unless it has already died), you need to take it to the veterinarian for an examination; if nothing else, your dog would probably appreciate some short-term pain medication for bruises and strains.
