It depends on how bad his injuries are. Many dogssurvive being hit by a car because their injuries weren't life threatening.
In general, the life-threatening injuries include: direct hits to the chest that result in broken ribs, pulmonary contusions or injuries to the heart; severe crush injuries to the abdomen that can cause internal bleeding; and severe overall trauma resulting in shock that can cause death.
Less direct hits often result in scrapes, lacerations, contusions and broken bones, but much of this can be repaired.
Just because there are no broken bones doesn't mean there are serious injuries - soft tissue trauma such as a lacerated spleen or fractured liver can cause fatal internal bleeding. If the dog is not dead or dying upon impact, most will at least try to get up within 30 seconds. Regardless of the dog's reaction (unless it has already died), you need to take it to the veterinarian for an examination; if nothing else, your dog would probably appreciate some short-term pain medication for bruises and strains.
i would say you should probably get the dog to a vet or if the dog is in bad enough shape possibly the emergency vet immediatly
If your dog has been hit by a car you should take the dog in to your veterinarian for a full exam to make sure there are no hidden injuries.
This is not a question. Dog hit by car. Not good for dog.
The injuries incurred from being hit by a car depend on the speed the car is moving and the car's size. Typically, being struck by a car will break bones at the least, and death is not uncommon, especially when a car is moving quickly.
whoever hit the dog is responsable. If the dog was not on a leash it may have ran away unless the owner is near or is walking it
Really it depends on injuries sustained.
If your dog has been hit by a car you should take him to a veterinarian immediately for examination and treatment. Often a dog may initially appear to be OK after the hit, but he may have internal bleeding or broken bones that need to be addressed. If an unowned/stray/feral dog is hit by a car, you should notify animal control immediately - DON'T TOUCH THE DOG. The dog may have rabies or other diseases that may make it very dangerous for you to try to handle. Animal control can safely remove the dog from the area and take it to their veterinarian for examination and treatment or humane euthanasia, depending upon the severity of the injuries.
of course it is possible
yes
If the dog is on the road when you hit it, it's the dogs owner fault (the dog should bave been restrained).
Tell the police and give them as much description of the car as possible. They will take it from there.
its when a dog gets hit by a car.
