Perhaps. In the US states establish WCI laws and requirements, that being the case eligibilty guidelines will differ somewhat from state to state. Generally an employee will be covered if they are performing any type of activity directly connected to the occupation that results in injury, illness or death. That is, of course, assuming that the employer is required under state law to partipate in the WCI program.
