A motion picture with sound
I have a sony bluray player conected to my tv by a hdmi cable only it wont work can anyone help me --------------- Go into the menu and set the output resolution to either 720p or 1080i and it should work on any HDTV that's not 1080p. If it doesnt, don't use an HDMI cable - use Red/Green/Blue (Component Video) cables to hook up to the TV. It will work fine at 720p. You will also need to connect additional red and white cables for sound.
Just put the blu ray disc in and play it if your hdtv is already set at 1080i and so is your blu ray player and then it will play it with the 1080i picture and sound and I garentee you it will work and it'll be like having your own mini theater in your own home that you control ! =). If your in the persons same situation who aked this question on this webpage on the this website and you figure it all out just how I did and expland it here, you'll be happy you've read my answer already! =). I hope my answer helps out anyone whos in this same situation and whos read this also!.
If you have hooked up your DVD player and get sound but no picture, try changing the picture source from TV to AV 1.
Try changing the source on the television to AV1 if you only have sound but no picture from a DVD player. If it is on TV it will not play a DVD.
High Definition Cables will produce higher quality video and sound when used.
YES!, IT WILL AND I KNOW WILL BECAUSE I HAVE THE SAME THING YOUR ASKING ABOUT AND SO YES IT'LL WORK!!!.
It is possible to wire a DVD player just for the picture, and not for sound, although most people prefer to have sound. Dialogue can be very interesting.
hitachi tv has sound no picture
Picture is AM, sound is AM or FM
The first movie with picture and sound was "The Jazz Singer".
Yes, you can play picture discs on a record player! Although some collectors just collect them for collectibility sake and never play them. It is also known that picture discs have relatively poor sound quality as there is less vinyl applied to the disc due to the picture image being on it. You can play them on a record player and it will not cause any damage to the picture disc, provided you have a good working record player.
