Yes, they have an expiration date, but they are still okay to eat after that. If they were really dangerous to eat, you would be able to tell: green slimy mold or furry fungus stuff that instinct should tell you not to eat. Otherwise, they should be fine. Besides, marshmallows already are practically pure sugar, so how could they harm you any more?
Look inside the bag, if you see any kind of bacteria growing on it throw the bag away if not open the bag make sure they aren't hard inside or out. If they don't have any of those problems they are safe to eat.
