If its a Chapter 7 case, the debt most likely will be discharged.

If its a Chapter 13, the amount is used for plan calculation.

In either case, the debt is "included". If the creditor is not paid under the Ch 13 plan, there may be a problem there. (Depending on if the creditor cares)

Speak with an attorney about your specific situation. If you can not find an attorney, contact your local Bar association and they will refer you to one.

When filing for chapter 7 bankruptcy for filing form Schedule F do you need to put in the exact dollar amounts owed?

You should enter the amount due on the date of filing. Most bankruptcy lawyers use the most recent statement from the creditor or the most recent amount on the credit reports obtained prior to filing. You may round off the numbers to the nearest dollar, but you should have more than just a "ball-park figure." If you have not had a recent statement, get a free copy of all three credit reporting bureaus' reports at www.annualcreditreports.com.

I was charged 1191.96. There was an 8 percent fee included in the total. What is the dollar amount of that 8 percent fee. What is that calculation?

The unknown amount + 8% of this unknown amount = 1191.96. Convert this to the following equation, and solve it: x + 0.08x = 1191.96. This will give you the original amount; it is then easy to calculate 8% of this original amount.

What will happen to your bankruptcy after your car which was the only thing you were paying in your Ch 13 was totaled and paid off by insurance.?

This can be a complicated issue. You should speak with an attorney in your area. If the vehicle was completely paid off by the insurance, then you may still owe fees to the Trustee or previous attorney. The dollar amount you pay for the loan and the dollar amount you pay to complete a chapter 13 are not the same.

Will district attorney still issue a warrant for your arrest for an eighty dollar bad check if they know you included that check in bankruptcy?

Charges for bad checks are only acted on if the merchant/person receiving the check files a complaint with the authorities. Even so, in most cases the writer of the bogus check is given the chance to make restitution for the full amount of the check and whatever penalties apply.
