If you're 36 weeks pregnant and you took castor oil and now your contractions are 5 minutes apart when should you go to the doctor?
Call the hospital now! If they are constantly 5 minutes apart you need to get there ASAP! Even if it's false labor it's still hard false labor--and they will either want to go ahead and let you have the baby or they will try stopping your contrations. It's not a good idea to drink castor oil at 36 weeks because your due date could have been slightly off by a week or two, as not all babies develop the same in the womb. But since the deed is done, call now! Don't even read this! Get off of the computer and call! :) Answer Now!!

Need to correct the above answer. At 37weeks your baby is not considered premature. At 37 weeks you are considered full-term! Answer At 34 weeks pregnant, Your baby has not …fully developed his/her lungs. That will not be developed til 37 weeks and will still be considered premature at that age. If your just tired of being pregnant, as alot of us probably were, You just have to wait it out. That's the best thing to do, no matter how tired you are. your doctors will let you know if your in trouble and they will do what they have to do.

I'm 36 wks. I took 4oz of castor oil last night at 930 it's been 12 hours. I was on the toilet all night but no contractions. is there a chance it will still work how long before i go in labor?
Too soon . Although there is little scientific, peer-reviewed data to support the claim that castor oil can hasten the onset of labor, there is plenty of anecdotal informat…ion that it does. Many childbirth professionals attest to its efficacy. However, inducing labor is not something to do before week 40. I understand that you want to get the show on the road, but you're rushing things.
You are 38 weeks pregnant and the doctor was going to strip your membranes today but couldn't because the baby is still too high Will castor oil help get things going?
Answer . This is an extemely delicate time of your prenancy so unless the doctor says otherwise wait! DON'T TAKE ANYTHING ON YOUR OWN! The doctor will have you come in f…or more frequent check-ups.
You are 36 weeks and been contracting now since 31 weekswas in labor at 31 do you think castor oil will work for me doc says its safe to have baby now i am tired of hurting what would you do?
Answer . I tried that with my first child. I don't suggest it. I didn't go into labor, but I crapped myself silly!\nTry pinching your nipples, or getting your man to do it…. That releases hormones into your system that will trigger labor. I'm not saying it will work every time, but that's how I induced my labor with my last child.
I am 36 weeks with a baby that's already 6.5 lbs i am miserable. my doctor sucks and the past 3 days ive been having contractions nothing real is it safe for the baby to take castor oil?
Answer . It's not uncommon for some women to feel pretty uncomfortable when this far along in pregnancy and just want it over with. Most doctors will give up to 2 weeks p…ast the due date to be on the safe side, so try to hang on for that extra 2 weeks. If nothing happens after that then talk to your doctor and I'm sure he'll induce labor. \n. \nTake care of yourself and nix the castor oil! As miserable as you feel you want a healthy baby. There is an old way of bringing on labor and it's safe and it's lightly scrubbing the kitchen floor! No kidding! Sometimes it works, other times it doesn't. DON'T ingest anything to bring on your baby.\n. \nAn early Congratulations!. Answer . the baby will come when it's ready to come all caster oil will do is give you a bad case of diarreha
Answer . yes it will put u in labor but ask your doctor first good luck
About the time the explosive diarrhea begin. Taking castor oil does not always work and it increases the risk to you and the baby. I think you might find that doctors are not …going to be happy knowing you took castor oil to start labor. Who would want to put their face around someone with explosive diarrhea?
, I am 40 weeks in on the 30th so only two days to go and have only JUST thought and looked up castor oil, I would definitely read up on it because at 36 weeks your baby is no…t ready otherwise pregnancy would only be for 36 weeks. If there is something wrong the doctor will talk to you about your options and you might definitely likely look at ANOTHER way to bring on the labor, but castor oil... it is disgusting!!! took it yesterday and has not done anything for me other than make me vomit and feel tired... It may work for you but to be HONEST I really wouldn't be selfish and take the castor oil, your lil one will come when they are ready to come... You can cause fetal distress and more... and is not recommended unless you have spoken to your midwife... at the stage you are at I have heard of a product called Pre-Birth which you can get at any Health Pharmacy, once again look it up but it is used earlier on and later in your pregnancy your midwife can do what is known as a stretch and sweep to help you along, but just ask them about it at your next appointment... All the best :)
Call the doctor, like now
You are 36 weeks pregnant with contractions for 2 weeks that are 4 minutes apart but aren't intense enough not dilated Should you try castor oil?
No, castor oil is a laxative and could make things worse. You need to discuss this with your doctor.
Castor oil generally doesn't work. It often just gives you diarrohea
Is it normal to have braxton-hicks contractions for 2 hours at a time about 2 to 5 minutes apart when your 32 weeks pregnant?
Yes!!! HOWEVER at 32 weeks they say that you should contact your OB (no matter what time it is) if you are having contraction every 6 min or less (regardless is they are alway…s the same distance apart) or is you have more then 8 in an hour! Though more than likely all is well, it is alwaysbetter to be safe than sorry. Also try drinking 8 ounces of water (not soda or caffenated drinks, must be water) if that doesn't help try drinking another 8 ounces since being a little dehydrated can start contractions. If they stop on there own and you do not call the doctor after hours, be sure to inform your doctor the next day.
You need to be in the hospital
You are over 36 weeks pregnant and dialated to a 3 with contractions 3 minutes apart what can you do to help your self dialate more?
Do lunges and jump up and down it worked for me.
Im 34 weeks pregnant and having contraction every 5 to 10 minutes apart but not dilated Will you go into labor soon?
Have you spoken to your doctor, obstetrician or midwife about this yet? If not, I really advice phoning them or going to the hospital because your contractions are pretty clos…e together. It is possible that these could still be Braxton Hicks contractions. But they could be the start of labour. It's important to get checked out.
Castor oil does not give you contractions directly, it gives you diarrhea. Those cramps are believed to sometimes bring on labor but usually it's just you sitting on the toile…t with the runs. So stay away from the oil. 36 weeks you are not even fullterm yet and the baby can have problems.
