If you are a convicted felon you are prohibited from owning, possessing, transporting a firearm of any type. In most cases you cannot even be caught in possession of firearm ammunition. The best rule of thumb is to not be anywhere near a gun regardless of the owner. If you are caught with a firearm and are a convicted felon depending on the crime you have previously committed it can be a sentencing enhancement as run the risk of the federal government picking up your case to get you tried in a federal court system....not good!

A felon that possesses a firearm violates Federal law, and if convicted will be sentenced to at LEAST 5 years in a Federal prison, with no parole, no probation, and no "concurrent" sentence for any other crime. If a felon is on parole for a PAST crime, it also violates his parole, so he will be returned to complete the original sentence as well.
Generally speaking, a felon can't own or possess a gun, so the answer is, yes, a felon can "be around" guns, but cannot legally have them in his or her possession. However, depending on what you mean, it's generally a bad idea for a felon to go to a gun show or shooting range or other gun related event.
You should contact the South Carolina State Police for an accurate answer. A quick review of SC laws appear to permit possession of a muzzleloading firearm by someone that has been convicted of a felony- HOWEVER- if you are still on parole, it may violate the terms of your parole. Federal law will permit it, EXCEPT that a felon may not possess #209 shotshell type primers. #11 percussion caps, yes, #209 primers, no (they are considered modern ammunition)
I don't believe a convicted felon is allowed to own any kind of gun in any State.
I believe so. Pellet & BB usually are not even considered firearms, however being on parole, you should have a good reason to have it & brandishing is a crime if it looks real.
While it is not restricted federally, many states restrict black powder for felons. Some only allow antique firearms and not modern black powder as well.
No. A felon in any state is not allowed to possess any type of gun, regardless of if it is loaded or if ammo is available.
To the best of my knowledge unless you are a convicted felon you can own a black powder gun.
No. There is no state were a felon may own any firearm.

You need to talk to a lawyer to be sure.
It depends on what the felony was, but in most cases, yes. This has to do with the second amendment.
Contact the US Attorney office in your area. Generally a felon is prohibited from possessing a firearm, and a black powder gun is a firearm. The US Attorney can restore your rights to firearm possession.
It is always best to consult a lawyer that is familiar with the local gun laws, or even the local prosecutor.

If he was convicted in state court - not without having his record expunged by the state of AZ - If he is a felon convicted in a FEDERAL court he can never be eligible to own or possess a firearm including black powder weapons.
