Most, if not all biologicals, including viruses and bacteria die after, at most, about five (5) minutes in rolling, (hard) boiling water. Hospitals and clinics sterilize their tools and equipment in an autoclave, which uses steam and pressure to kill viruses and bacteria. The syringe or equipment / tools must be disassembled before boiling, in order to reach all the parts of the tool or syringe. I am no doctor , therefore I do not guarantee any of my answers.

yes, HIV is sensitive to high temperatures but not to extreme cold. Experiments have shown that HIV is killed by heat, but temperatures over 60°C are needed to achieve reliable killing of HIV.

Yes actually disinfecting the syringe by boiling water is the only way you can kill hepatitis c safely. so mr. broderstad.not so bright are we?
