Depends on how much food and water you intake to burn those 3500 calories. When I used to do my 3500 calorie burns on a cross trainer I would drink anywhere from 1-2 gallons of water. Water weighs in at around 8lbs a gallon. I would loose roughly 5-10LBs on a scale. Your going to need water to fuel your body from all the sweat you will loose. If your going to burn over 1000 calories in a single exercise I would suggest first to get working out for 2-3 weeks before you start. Also I would suggest anything over 1000 calories to intake some vitamins with your water as well; or any drink with some calories for energy.
NO! There are 3500 calories in 1b of fat, but just because you've burned 3500 calories doesn't mean they are all fat. You will also lose some lean body mass (muscle). I recommend checking out Tom Venuto's book "Burn the fat, feed the muscle"

It depends on how much you eat. A pound of fat is 3500 calories. So if you are eating the right amount then at that rate you will burn a pound of fat in about 11-12 days. Its important to note that just because the cardio machine tells you that you're burning 300 calories doesn't necessarily make it so. Your body also burns more calories as your body repairs. Now the above assumes you are eating the right amount. If you eat too much then it will take you longer.
