If you are married your parents have no legal rights over you at all, nor any duties either. Legally you are classified as a "married minor". There are various things you cannot do like enter into contracts. There was a legal case a few years ago. A girl of 17 got married and after the wedding her father refused to pay the bills for the wedding, saying she was now her husband's responsibility. He refused because he hadn't been liable at the time the bills were run up. And she refused as she was a minor and thus not able to enter into a contract. And they got away with it!

Nope. Your legally out of your parents reach. Have fun.

These laws vary from state to state, but generally speaking if you get married you are effectively emancipated. However, it will probably be necessary to obtain parental permission to marry in the first place.

You do not have to by law, but if you did get married, you're parents most likely gave permission. Hopefully they wouldn't object to you moving out, unless your husband cannot support you.

Do parents still have control over their 17-year-old daughter if her grandma and uncle have temporary custody of her?

For the most part your parents do until you are 18 and if you have sex with that 23 year old if word spread into the wrong hands he could get into trouble. I would wait til you are 18

A child custody order remains in effect until the child is of the age of 18. If the child turns 18 before he or she graduates high school the custody order will stay in effect until the graduation occurs.

A boy that is 18 and still lives with his parents get custody of a child if the 18 year old girlfriend wants to put baby up for adoption?

Father would have to consent to the adoption. Definitely worth petitioning for custody if you feel that you and your family can care for the child.

First of all, if you are 16 or 17 and want to get married, your parents have to consent to the marriage. New York does not have an emancipation statute, so they are responsible for you until 18.

Can a parent have the court order the child to remain in parents custody until 18yr of age?

If you are divorced and granted custody that court order is valid unless the other parent (or the state) get custody for whatever reason (if both parents become unfit etc). And custody lasts until the child is 18. You can not get a guarantee from the judge that you as a parent will have custody until the child is 18. There are 2 parents and according to the law both are allowed to seek custody of their child.

If you are 18 and your parents no longer have custody over you and you drop out of high school in NYS are your parents still notified by your high school or by child services and do they have to reply?

I do not know legally, yet I have an 18 year old who is a senior, and if they still have the parents information I feel they should, personally i believe it is their moral responsbility. Sometimes at that age they are crying out for attention or someone to care. Anyone in the school system should know this. What would it hurt?

If a new husband has power of attorney over his wife can an 18 year child than fight that?
