it is possable to do that but it may cause damage to your air conditoning system to have the pump sitting idol when the rest of the systems are running. but if it already doesn't work whats the harm?
if you can reroute the belt to bypass the ac compressor all you need to work out is how much shorter the belt is that you would require
75in
You can bypass the a/c compressor on the 1989 cadillac fleetwood by simply using a smaller accessory belt. I have found that a 77 inch belt works perfectly. There is no need for a bypass pulley and you won't find one for this model anyway.
order a belt for one without ac. Idid this on my 98 neon
Buy a belt made for a vr6 and when they ask you if you have a/c just say no and they will get you a belt that fits one without a/c
yes you can bypass ac with either a ac bypass pulley made by dorman or get a longer belt
This is just a guess so take it with a grain of salt. I would buy a belt for the s10 without air conditioning and just bypass the air conditioning pump.
Well, how is the air conditioner "unattached", exactly? If it's on a serpentine belt and you want to bypass the compressor, you have to make sure you have the right length of belt and that it's properly routed. If you simply pulled out the AC relays, the truck should still operate normally.
To bypass your ac you can use a Valuecraft brand belt part # 360k4
You can't bypass with a belt alone. You have to by a bypass pulley kit. The new pulley takes the place of the ac compressor and you use the same size belt.
88.50 in belt
you can not run it without having apulley in place of the a/c compressor because of belt routing. the pulley bracket needs to b custom made
