The period and process of going through a divorce, no matter how "done" you are with the ex, is very emotional and tiring. It is hard to maintain a relationship since there are naturally times when you are unavailable. You may want to set aside some quiet time (weekend?) to discuss what he needs (time alone? down time?) and what you need (time when he is not wrapped up, fun, laughter?). Unfortunately, we cannot fix people's lives, their moods, or their happiness, so just have to go with the flow as well as you can without being caught up in the divorce. He is still married until it comes through, and needs to be careful if he has kids and if it will become an issue at divorce.

Bad idea. You want him free and clear before you get involved. For one thing, the soon-to-be ex can use your dating with the boyfriend as ammunition against him n the divorce proceedings. You really don't want to get mixed up in that. Just be patient.

Perhaps you should rethink about this new boyfriend of yours. If he stops talking to you just because he may have to go to court (doubtful, but he well may be named if your husband sues you for divorce.) There are three things that can be happening here: * He doesn't love you enough to stick by your side. * He has been in trouble with the law before and doesn't want to get mixed up in a divorce case. * Your husband may have threatened him with bodily injury or, your boyfriend is afraid what will happen to him if he should be brought to court. You can decide which one of these things it may be and if you feel he still loves you then contact him and explain what will happen during divorce proceedings and is he sticking by you through the divorce proceedings or not. If he refuses too then you are lucky enough to find out now.
