If you bought the car "as is," then no, you have no legal recourse. That's why you always have a mechanic check out a used car before you sign.
If on the other hand you bought the car from a reputable dealer that offered a warranty, then you MIGHT be covered. It would have to be determined whether or not the transmission failed due to your negligence or not. Good luck with that.

They were in Detroit about 2 weeks ago (January 18th, at the Joe Louis Arena for a charity concert, tickets ranged from 50 dollars for nose bleed seats to 1500 dollars for front row, meet and greets were 2500 dollars). But they probably won't be coming back soon, because they are starting a worldwide tour this summer or fall and won't be in the U.S. as much as usual. You'll probably have more luck driving to the next nearest place they'll be. .
