Adding table salt to water causes the water to boil at a higher temperature salt can change. Salt can change the specific heat of the system so that the salt like solution has a higher heat capacity.

boiling salty water. if you add enough however, you get a kind of heavy water. but none that will do you any good. all you can do with it is cool it down a bit and then put more salt in it to produce larger or mal-shaped salt crystals.
