It depends on how long you are having it, what positions you are doing, and your level of intensity.
It depends on what you do at the gym. Running on the treadmill will burn between 500-600 calories depending how fast you are goin. An elliptical at medium resistance will burn… about 550 calories. Yoga will burn about 400 calories. Weight lifting will vary greatly based on the type of weights and the heaviness.

It depends on how drastic you do karate and exercise yourself. If you spend an hour doing some relaxed and not strenuous exercises it doesn't help burn too much calories at al…l. If you are serious and do some useful movements and training of muscles, it does help you. I can burn around of 900 cals in an hour, but it takes some doing to be able t…o maintain that output for that long. Kickboxing is so intense that most people are unable to do it consistently for one hour. It'll be more like a few minutes workout, then rest, then on it again. This pulls the average down to at a guess 400-600 cals.

This is a very difficult question to provide an answer for but I'll have a go. Calories or energy is burned during every human activity. The more physically straining the acti…vity, will inevitably lead to more calories being burned. Although speaking for an hour is not even on the same scale as say, horsriding for the same amount of time, it still will burn up energy. Most probably a small amount, but it depends, because using up brain power also requires energy.
