make sure rotor is turning while cranking. also disconnect the radio noise supressor capacitor mounted on coil good chance its shorting your ignition system its just like the old condensers when points wrer used but niw its used for am radio buzz just cut the wire and start it
It already has electronic ignition.
The computer maybe fubar(no good)? have you checked the plug wires distributor cap and rotor? could be the distributor its self or possably the pick up coil
the cam position sensor and ignition coil are inside the distributor. the crank position sensor is located on the bottom front of the engine, behind the belts on the left side.
Have you already replaced the coil?
CHECK THE IGNITION SWITCH,,, THEY HAVE A HABIT OF GOING BAD
See related link.
ide have to say it has somethin to do with the gear that goes from the cam to ur distributor
Assuming the plugs and wires have already been replaced you may have a bad fuel injector.
Try the ignition control module. Had the same problem with mine $36 part fixed it. The ignition control module is in the distributor and so is the pickup coil, but the ignition coil is by the battery. There is a spark test that can be done. If it was already done and couldn't see a spark, then it could be the ignition coil it self , the ignition wire, or any possible electrical connections.
What would cause a 76 model 350 Chevy to run bad when idling. Already replace ignition module Distributor cap and rotor
Replace the ECU.
