Immigration into the US has been shaped by legislation?
Immigration into the United States has been shaped by legislation greatly restricting Chinese immigration through the Chinese Exclusion Acts beginning in 1882. These were a series of laws first passed in 1882 that restricted Chinese from entering the United States. They were not repealed until 1943. Until the 1880s, most immigrants to the United States were from northern and western Europe, but in the closing years of the 19th century and the opening ones of the 20th, immigration from southern and eastern Europe increased tremendously. In response, Congress in the 1920s passed legislation that restricted total immigration and favored immigration from western and northern Europe. In the 1960s, Congress removed the discriminatory national origins quota system, and legal immigration, especially from Latin America, Canada, and Asia, started to increase. By the closing years of the 20th century and the opening ones of the 21st, immigrants were primarily coming from Latin America and Asia. Illegal immigration remains a serious problem and has not been solved.

Congress proposes legislature to address public policy issues. Thisbegins by recognizing the problem and discussing various solutions. When a member of Congress proposes a bill… this indicates they havecome up with a solution to the problem and it is ready for a voteto be accepted by the other members.
Pretty much in every way imaginable. There is no " United States " Original people. If your not a Native American, your an immigrant somewhere along the line back 10,000BC. So… the world you see, or at least the culture boom around the 1900's, hits in food like pizza and hotdogs, to cars we drive be it German or Japanese.

You would need a waiver to excuse the deportation, which are difficult to get. Note that if you were deported for crimes, that some crimes will permanently bar you from entry …into the U.S.
In the past the US had unclaimed land that needed new people to work it and build. This is no longer the case. Everything in the US is owned by someone and the need for immig…ration to help the country grow is now a thing of the past.

A Congressional District that has been drawn to an 'odd' shape is said to be Gerrymandered. The name comes from the name of a Massachusetts governor in 1812 who engineered t…he reshaping of election districts to assure the outcome of elections. Gerrymander comes from a combination of Gerry (his name) + "...mander" (a weird looking, imaginary beast.)

"Legislation by Appropriation" is usually viewed the age-oldprocess of taking a bill which cannot pass on its own merits andeasing it through as a "rider" on an appropriations… bill. It'stypically used to approve spending and grow the size of the federalbudget although it has also been used to defund controversialactivities or policies. The 1901 Platt Amendment was a famous rider to the ArmyAppropriations Act of 1901. The amendment had absolutely nothing todo with Army appropriations but specified the conditions underwhich the United States might intervene in the internal affairs ofCuba. A 1956 thesis by Juilian I Schocken performed an in-depth analysisof Section 638 of H.R. 6042, which became Public Law 157 of the84th Congress) Congress used the appropriations process to nullify executiveforeign policy, essentially de-funding wars such as the VietnamWar. In 1982, Congress blocked the Reagan administration's policiesin Nicaragua by preventing both the military and the CIA from usingtheir funding to supply arms to the Contras. In 2013, The House of Representatives passed a bill to authorizethe Government budget for everything except ObamaCare, and theSenate chose not to vote to authorize that money to be spent, triggering a partial shutdown of federal government operations.

How you might descrive a congressional district that has been drawn by a legislative in a very odd shape?
In 1812, Massachusetts Governor Elbridge Gerry re-arranged the districts of some representatives to make it easier for his political party to win more seats in the Congress. T…he Boston Gazette newspaper noted that one of the districts was long, narrow, and irregularly shaped, and that it resembled a salamander. The term "Gerry-mander" was quickly applied to this district, and to the practice of drawing district boundaries to give political advantage to one party over another.
Because we are a free country and many people want to live a free life. So, these people are immigrants because they move from their home country to another. That is why there… is so many different cultures and so many people from differentbackgrounds That is what makes the US so special and that is what makes everyone of us unique.
