As told by Dede, the epilogue tells what happened to the three Mirabal sisters who died on their way back home from a prison visit. It tells of the sisters being ambushed by men who beat and choked them to death, then pushed the Jeep over a cliff with the sisters in it. It tells of the trial of the murderers and what happens to them. Dede is visited constantly by people who heard what happened to her sisters, until she accepts no more. Dede also meets Lio at a reception in honor of her sisters.
