At the end of The Hunger Games trilogy, (after Mokingjay) Katniss is very happy. She had children with Peeta and has a very good home.
President Corlanuis Snow
Katniss was depressed when Rue died. It made her think of her sister, Prim.
happy hunger games and may the odds be ever in your favor
The Hunger Games is a trilogy from Suzanne Collins about a young girl named Katniss Everdeen who volunteers for her sister Prim and enters the 74th annual Hunger Games. The Hunger Games is when two tributes (people) from each district (12) are called to fight to the death until one victor is left. The games were originated from the "Dark Days" when the districts revolted and one district was destroyed. Katniss and Peeta go to the Hunger Games and they fight. Read the books or watch the movie to see what happens next!
Tone is the authors voice (this could be the character telling the story) or opinion of the subject they are writing about. Example) Happy, Somber, etc.In my opinion, there are multiple tones for The Hunger Games. Katniss exhibits strength and courage but the games are dark and saddening. Some could argue that Katniss falls in love with Peeta and that love and hope could both be a tones but I disagree. I think the tone is much more serious, since the capitol is cruel and since there is little hope she will survive Katniss' desperate attempt to win the games is present.

Katniss and Peeta end up winning the Hunger Games, but Haymitch tells Katniss that she has outsmarted the Capitol and President Snow (president of the Capitol) isn't very happy with Katniss or Peeta. You will have to read the nest book to see what happens next.
Happy Hunger Games!
she is happy and thankful but also a little bit unsure of his interntions. That is the point in the series when katniss realises pettas lover for her isn't an act for the games and the cappitol. its real.
It depends on the part of the book. When Katniss and Peeta are kissing, probably happy and in love, like they are. When Katniss is running from the mutts, scared, like she. When Katniss is hiding in the tree with Rue, daring, like they are.
Effie Trinket said, "May the odds be ever in your favor!!" after she said, "Happy Hunger Games"

Katniss steps in for her sister, Primrose, to save her from a certain death only to watch her little sister die in the capital because of a contraption her best friend, Dale, helped make to destroy the capital. This, I found, was the most ironic and saddest part of the Hunger Games trilogy. Peeta Mellark is named after bread Cato is killed by the mutants which were in turn the tributes he murdered Peeta Mellark camouflages himself by using the one skill Katniss made fun of him for in training. (cake frosting) Sorry that's all I've got, :/
President Snow. He is also angry with Seneca Crane, the head gamemaker, for letting both Katniss and Peeta live. As a result, Seneca Crane is exectuted, and Katniss' life becomes controlled by Snow, making sure that she doesn't set off a rebellion, which she does.
