No. It is not. Typical, fastingnon-diabetic glucose levels run between 70 to 100 milligrams per deciliter. After a non-diabetic eats a meal, blood sugar generally rises and in a typical individual it usually does not get above a 135 to 140 milligrams per deciliter- well below 543.

As a diabetic you are doing you self much harm running blood sugars in the 500s. Do try to keep them below 200 for your own good.

Or, if you desire to eat as you please, not exercise, and not take your insulin or other diabetic medications then, loose a limb or your eye sight keeping high blood sugars. That would be fun, wouldn't it?

Taking care of oneself is work- especially is you have a chronic illness like Diabetes. But, don't be a victim of your own lack of responsibility or pass the buck to your doctor, spouse, or the medical industry and just do the work required to keep closer to good health.
