Asperger's Syndrome is a developmental impairment within the autism spectrum. It is usually mild. Most children with Asperger's grow to be productive members of society. Many demonstrate fantastic talent in a certain human endeavor. They are all socially awkward, but usually learn to cope as they progress into adulthood. There is no strong scientific consensus as to what causes it, but it is not a contagious pathogen. It cannot be "caught."
My own daughter has Asperger's Syndrome. She is a delightful 17-year-old young woman. She is a "strange bird," an amazing artist, and possesses Jesus/Ghandi-like understanding and compassion for others. Knowing her has led me to wonder just who is impaired, and who is not.
Even at her age, she seems to me void of any guile or deceit, like a small child. I am compelled to wish that Asperger's was contagious, and that the whole mean World would catch it.

Autism is a neurological difference, that means our brains are different to the brains of neurotypical people. A difference in the brain cannot spread to other people any more than my having green eyes will make you have green eyes too, it's purely down to genetics.
