Is Barack Obama a good president elect so far?

• I think you can only answer this question through the window of his own declared intentions. Because that is what his voters voted for. See the related question below about what he has done right as president according to Answers.com contributors.
• I would answer, "No." His platform for election was "Change." Change from the current political state of apathy to something that he thought was better. But all you have to do is look at his selection for cabinet positions to see that it is more of the same, if not worse. Then there is the financial bailouts. Americans emphatically said "NO!", and he campaigned and voted for it.
• This in not a startling revelation, though. George W. Bush ran for presidency on a campaign of non-interventionalism, smaller government and starting down the track of reducing the national deficit. And he did the opposite. This is true of all of the presidents in my lifetime. I see no reason to think that Barack Obama will be any better, especially after his recent decisions. I think if you look at his decisions compared to his promises, you will agree that he has not been a good "president elect". PS - If you don't know about his cabinet positions, take some time and look them up and understand them.
• Yes, he is a very good President. He sent the Troops home to their families, and got rid of inhumane torture toward criminals.
• The economy is improving due to the changes he made as a new President. Wars have ended. Things in general are much better for the "regular" people in the US than they were when he first took office. His approval rating is very high. He has done much of what he said he would despite having the Republican "party of no" obstructing that at every turn.
• He killed Osama bin Laden!
