No the cvn is the 3 digit number on the back of your card. Never give anyone your pin number!!
Card Verification Number
The PIN was sent to you in a separate mailing. The CVV is printed on the back of the card near the signature strip. These are the two security codes.
PIN stands for Personal Identification Number. It is a 4 digit number that is specific to every magnetic card (Credit or Debit) As per security policy, a customer is not expected to share his PIN number with anybody. Secrecy of the PIN number ensures unauthorized access to our bank account. If our card is lost and money is withdrawn because of our carelessness and sharing the PIN, the bank would not be liable to pay you back.
Typically, a credit card company like Visa would provide you with security. The same thing can be said for debit cards since Visa does ensure the same security protections for them.
here are a few ways to be security conscious with your credit cards: Hide your PIN number when entering the information on the pin pad. Use a RFID credit card protector holder if you have a paywave or paypass useable card. Use a different PIN number for each credit card (in case your wallet is stolen and they know one of your PIN numbers, they won't be able to use any other cards) After signing your name on your new credit card, place a clear piece of tape over your signature so that every time your card is swiped the name doesn't rub off.
If you know your password, you can reset your PIN, without having to type in your old PIN. If you forget your password or pin you can answer your security question and you can get into your account.

The only way to get it - is to contact the card issuer, and ask them for a new PIN. For security reasons (a) they won't tell you the existing PIN over the phone and (b) won't issue the same PIN through the post - in case someone has stolen the card and is 'pretending' to be you. Once the company sends out a new PIN - you cna change it so something more memorable.
