Partly. Punk was definitely an influence. Dina were definitely tied into the late 90s - early 2000s Emo scene that was developing (Think Sunny Day real estate/Spy vs Spy/Sunfactor/Appleseed Cast rather than the side parted tripe Kerrang passed off) In truth, Dina were more influenced by Husker Du, Dinosaur Jr, Lemonheads and Leatherface than any particular genre.
