Yes even though god is a spirit the holy spirit is different. He is the comforter sent to to man as christ was no longer there. The holy spirit first came to the disciples after christ was crucified.

The Holy Spirit is God. The Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost is the manifestation of the One true God as He interacts with His people. God has always been and will always be. He does not change. He has manifested Himsels as Father in Creation, Son in redemption and Holy Ghost in regeneration.

The Bible says that Jesus is concieved of the Holy Ghost, and yet He is the Son of God. Matthew 1, Luke 1, Matt 14:43 and 16:16

John Ch. 4, Jesus says that God is a Spirit.

In Acts, Annanias and Saphira lied about a matter of money to the Apostles. Peter asked them whay they had lied to the Holy Ghost and that they had lied, not to men, but God.

Jesus says to the disciples in John Ch 14, that He is the Holy Ghost, or Comforter. He tells thet that the world does not know the Spirit of Truth (Jesus is the Way, Truth and Life); but the disciples know the Spirit because they have heard Him and dwell with Him and He shall be in them. Then Jesus says, "I will not leave you comfortless, I will come to you." Not another "person" but Jesus Himself, another manifestation of God.

The Bible says that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, and in 1 Tim. 3:16 it says that, "God was Manifested in Flesh. . .recieved up into glory. . ."

Jesus told the Jews that He was the I Am. (John 8)

Jesus forgave sins, yet the testimony was that only God could forgive sins.

The Bible says there is only One God. Rom. 3:30, 1 Cor. 8:4-6, Gal. 3:20, 1 Tim. 2:5

So all Scripture is given by God, including the law and the prophets. The Prophecy came by the Holy Ghost, i.e. the word of God; and the prophet prophesied through the Spirit of Christ. In other words, the Father, Son and Holy Ghost are One and the same!

So, the Holy Spirit is found to be God.

Yes, he is a part of the Godhead. He is the power, he is the one that works miracles and other visible manifestations of God.

1 Corinthians 12:4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.

5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.

6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.

Yes, the Holy Spirit is part of the Holy Trinity. The Father (God), the Son (Jesus Christ) and the Holy Spirit. These are believed to be Three of One Spirit God.
