Yes, the process is legal but the way they do business isn't. They said they are a phone company yet they don't have telephone number listed on their website instead they are using chat to communicate to customers, how could that be?

Any company who offers phone system but doesn't have phone number listed on their website and instead using Chat support is surely a fraud, I should know because I used to subscribe to them.

Can charges be brought against an inmate if an inmate lies to a corrections officer?

you cant get a new charges simple by lien to a corrections officer ... Now if your signer is on a statement to that affect then you can get charged with forging a legal document ...Another View: While it may not be a violation of statute law, there are internal prison system rules and regulations which inmates must live by and follow. Such a violation may incur internal administrative sanctions against the inmate but unless the offense/crime rises to the level of criminal statute law (for instance - killing or assaulting another inmate or guard) no criminal charges are usually filed, and the matter is handled internally, within the system.

Your boyfriend is in a Florida prison will prison officials help him get a divorce?

Prison officials typically do not assist inmates with divorce proceedings. Instead, your boyfriend would need to seek legal counsel or resources outside of the prison system to initiate the divorce process. It is advisable for him to consult with an attorney or look for legal aid organizations that offer assistance to inmates.

How do you send a package to an inmate in Arizona prison?

Mail will be distributed daily ( Monday through Friday, excluding weekends and holidays ). Mail will be delivered only to the addressee.Incoming mail MUST have the inmates name AND PFN (Person File Number).Incoming mail MUST have the name and address of the sender on the outside of the envelope.Sexually explicit drawings on the outside of mailing envelopes will cause U.S. Postal authorities to return the envelope to sender.Sexually explicit material, that includes partial and full body nudity is not authorized and will not be delivered to the inmate. This includes pictures, books and magazines. The only packages inmates are allowed to receive through the mail are books ( NO HARDBACK BOOKS ALLOWED ), periodicals, and magazines - PROVIDED THESE ITEMS ARE SENT DIRECTLY FROM THE PUBLISHER OR REPUTABLE "ONLINE" BOOKSTORE, such as Amazon.com and Barnes and Noble.com, etc.. To prevent packages from being returned, ALL PACKAGES MUST BE PROPERLY LABELED by the bookstore with their business name. No more than 6 items will be accepted through the mail. ( Inmates are provided with a vast selection of books, legal materials and religious periodicals free of charge. Is it legal for released inmates to get 5 years parole beyond their parole time?

The question is a bit obscure, but I will do my best to answer. An inmate who is granted a parole may remain on parole the length of his original sentence. For instance: an inmate who is sentence to a maximum of twenty years, who only serves five years in prison, may be placed on parole for the remaining fifteen years if the parole board determines it would be beneficial to do so.

Is it legal to take an inmates organs who did not want to be a donor?

In the US, it is illegal to take organs from a dead prisoner. Unless the prisoner has specifically signed an agreement to donate organs after death, organs cannot be removed from a deceased inmate. Removing organs as the question is asked is clearly immoral and illegal.

How do I search for inmates in jail?

Each state has slight variations on this, however most have online access to inmate information. Go to your state's Department of Corrections web site and search for "Inmate Information" or "Offender Information." You may also search for Inmate of Offender searches. These can sometimes be difficult to locate, but keep at it. Some states such as California do not allow online searches for inmates and require you to call the Inmate Information Office of the state DOC. You might want to begin with the website the Prison Legal News or VINELink websites for inmate locator links. Both are linked below.

How much money does England spend on inmates?

Far too much. A good legal system does not rely on prison to "fix" inmates as in depth studies reveal that prison only breads more of the same and does next to nothing to correct or reform behavior. Punishment and Justice need to be meeted out.

What does a man who is currently jailed in Florida need to do if he wants to divorce a spouse in South Carolina?

Inmates should be able to get a public defender's request form from the correctional officer in charge of their housing area. If for some reason this is not possible, the inmate should request to speak with the prison chaplain for help in obtaining legal assistance.
