Yes, in my opinion, Jesus Chirst was God on earth because He is the son of Almighty God but came to earth as a normal human to save His followers from the enemy and their bad habits.

NoNot a god on earth; Matthew 19:17, Mark 10:18 And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God.

Matthew 27:46, Mark 15:34 My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?

Mark 16:19 So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.

John 8:40 But now ye seek to kill me, a man that hath told you the truth, which I have heard of God.

John 14:28 My Father is greater than I.

John 20:17 I ascend unto my Father, and your Father; and to my God, and your God.

Acts 17:31 Because he hath appointed a day, in the which he will judge the world in righteousness by that man whom he hath ordained; whereof he hath given assurance unto all men, in that he hath raised him from the dead.

1 Corinthians 11:3 The head of Christ is God.

1 Corinthians 15:28 And when all things shall be subdued unto him, then shall the Son also himself be subject unto him that put all things under him, that God may be all in all.

Colossians 3:1 Christ sitteth on the right hand of God.

1 Timothy 2:5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.

And if I interpreted the above scriptures correct, neither is Jesus a god in heaven.

Another Answer:

1 Corinthians 2: 14-16 says: But a natural man (human spirit minus Holy Spirit) does not accept the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; and he connot understand them, because they are spiritually appraised. But he who is spiritual appraises all things, yet he himself is appraised by no one. For who Has known the mind of the Lord, that he will instruct Him? But we have the mind of Christ.

Now, this does not mean that we are gods, too because we have the mind of Christ, but that God the Holy Spirit resides in our bodies, sealed if you will Ephesians 1: 13 and we think the mind of God because He is in our soul and body, just as Christ is in the same body of God the Father. So, I am saying that Jesus Christ was God when He came to earth, to be born(the humanity of Christ) from the womb of Mary, a virgin.

When Jesus was born and grew up, He set His Divinity aside to the obedience of God the Father. Jesus is still God and man at ths time, but He instead falls in submission to the Fathers will because it was the will of the Father to send Jesus, His only begotten son to die on the cross for the sins of the world. So He did! Later in the scriptures and toward the end of this earth, Jesus will come down to the atmosphere (clouds) and call His beloved saints off the earth and leave all unbelievers on the earth (the rapture) 1 Thessalonians 4: 13-18. Later in time, the scriptures say that Jesus will again come, but this time to earth to slaughter all the enemies of God (the devil, unbelievers and fallen angels and put them in the Lake of Fire. Revelation 19: 20 2 Thessalonians 1:8-9. 2 Thessalonians 2: 10-12 These words were not written base on my opinion, but were given to me from the scriptures that I hold dear and true...

Jesus Christ is both God and man and at no point in time was He not God.

Jesus indeed existed as a matter a fact he is not only recorded in The Bible but also in other history books. Even time its self is revolved around him for example BC means before Christ. In John chapter 1 is says in verse 1 in the beginning was the word ,and the word was with God ,and the word was God. In verse 14 same chapter it says and the word was made flesh and dwelt among us ( and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the father.) Full of grace and truth. Jesus is the only begotten of the father.

AnswerThere are various answers to this question:
  • To most, but not all Christians, Jesus is one with God, a member of the Holy Trinity
  • To Jews, Jesus was a preacher who lived in Palestine in the first century CE. Jews are strong monotheists, so the notion of Jesus as God is not acceptable.
  • To Muslims, Jesus was a great prophet, but not divine
  • To others, Jesus, if he existed at all, was a man who taught important moral values and after whose death a new religion was formed. They say there is no God.

A:For most Christians, Jesus is really God. For Jews and Muslims, he may have been a great teacher, but was neither Son of God nor God. For atheists and others, God does not exist, so the question is moot.

Answer 2

No, Per Islam religion, Jesus is neither God nor son of God.

Quran says:

Meaning English translation:

{O People of the Scripture, do not commit excess in your religion or say about Allah (God) except the truth. The Messiah, Jesus, the son of Mary, was but a messenger of Allah and His word which He directed to Mary and a soul [created at a command] from Him. So believe in Allah and His messengers. And do not say, "Three"; desist - it is better for you. Indeed, Allah is but one God. Exalted is He above having a son. To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on the earth. And sufficient is Allah as Disposer of affairs. (171)} [Quran, chapter 4, verse 171]

and says:

{ They have certainly disbelieved who say, " Allah is the Messiah, the son of Mary" while the Messiah has said, "O Children of Israel, worship Allah, my Lord and your Lord." Indeed, he who associates others with Allah - Allah has forbidden him Paradise, and his refuge is the Fire. And there are not for the wrongdoers any helpers. (72)}

[Quran, chapter 5, verse 72]

Jesus (peace be upon him) is believed as one of the greatest prophets and one of the greatest messengers of God to mankind. In the Quran, there is a complete chapter (or Surah) titled 'Maryam' (Mary) that confirms Maryam virgin birth. Jesus was born as miracle by the word and command of God. This command is, as said in Quran, the same command that had brought Adam into being with neither a father nor a mother. God has said in Quran:

{The case of Jesus with God is like the case of Adam. He created him from dust, and then He said to him, "Be!" and he came into being.} (Quran, chapter 3, verse 59)

Answer 3

Most modern Christians would equate Jesus with God, as one person of the Holy Trinity, however, this view evolved over the first four centuries of Christianity.

Mark's Gospel, the first of the four New Testament gospels, describes Jesus as human and has him deny being God, although God adopted him at the time of his baptism. The Gospels of Matthew and Luke, each in different ways, describe Jesus as being conceived by the Holy Spirit and therefore the son of God from conception, but still not God. John's Gospel describes Jesus as being with God at the moment of creation, and that he was God, but is unclear as to the exact relationship between Jesus and his Father.

It only remains for the Holy Trinity to resolve the issue of Jesus as God, while maintaining the essence of Christianity as a monotheistic religion. The concept of the Holy Trinity - three Gods in one - was debated in the third century and was adopted against fierce opposition at the fourth-century Council of Nicaea and finally made a mandatory belief by Emperor Theodosius at the end of the century.

Answer 4

Jesus is God's son.

Answer 5

One of the most well known scriptures of all time is John 3:16, where it says,"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."(King James Version)

So not only is Jesus the son of God, he is also the means of salvation. He provided his life as a ransom to provide a legal basis upon which those who exercise faith in him can gain everlasting life.

A free publication that may help you get greater understanding about Jesus is called "The Greatest Man Who Ever Lived," published by the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society, and can be obtained without charge.

There is God whom created the heavens & Earth as portrayed in Genesis, but there is also his Son "the word" or "lord" as the OT puts it, & then in the NT is Jesus Christ. He was with his father in the beginning, & became flesh to dwell with mankind . He is separate from his father but he is the same as his father. He is not God of Genesis. It is like this....a married couple, they are "one" unit with keeping them as individuals as well. My husband is a part of me but with his own qualities as well. Makes sense? So otherwise Jesus is equal with God but not God himself. Please read up on the Hebrew literature & you will see a difference between God of the OT & Jesus.

==============================

By the 300s, the 4th Century that is, Christendom had spread widely and was practiced in many forms, elaborate forms that would have surprised Jesus. But anyway, in the 4th Century the leaders of the various Christian factions called a grand council to settle what the faith truly should be and how it should be practiced. This long discussion/debate took place over many months in the country of Turkey in the city of Nicaea. The forum was called the "Council of Nicaea. The Nicene Creed, the one in prayer books was developed and approved during that meeting all those hundreds of years ago. But there was a big split at the council. One part of the debate was about whether Jesus was "God" or "like God". It was a very serious problem and one faction walked out of the council because they didn't agree with the creed. The faction that walked out stuck to their idea that Jesus was not God but instead that he was "like God". This split carries on to this day, the "like God" people being what we know as "Unitarians".

Christians believe in one God, but this one God is represented by three Persons.

God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. When Jesus the Son of God came down from heaven and was born a human being He was still part of the Godhead, so He was full God and fully Man. So yes Jesus Christ was God in the flesh.

This is a matter of faith, and. there is biblical support for either position.

The earliest gospel, now known as Mark's Gospel, portrays Jesus as a man adopted by God at his baptism. Mark 10:18 even tells us Jesus is not God: "And Jesus said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God."

John's Gospel describes Jesus as divine and pre-existing, although it is not entirely clear whether the author equated Jesus with God himself.
