North African countries are mainly Arabic or Muslim dominated countries such as Sudan, Egypt, Libya and Morocco. Kenya is a predominantly Christian Nation. There are also several Southern Africa countries such as South Africa, Zambia, Zimbabwe among others. So Kenya is neither in Northern or Southern Africa but in Eastern Africa, and is squarely divided by the Equator Line.
