∙ 11y agoThere are quite a few difference that can be identified by purchasing the products, but the main difference is the quality of plastic. LEGO uses ABS injection molds while Megablocks uses a much cheaper plastic that breaks easily. There is also a large difference in their product systems.
LEGO uses about 3 different systems that can be connected all at once creating a much bigger variety in products, Megoblocks usually creates 6-9 new pieces per product, especially in their Halo line, making the building experience, easier, but less exiting.
Mega block are of similar size to Lego (depending on their type), but some are bigger than Lego.Also mega blocks (the Lego size ones) are more life like, but the pieces don'tconnectas good as Lego however the Halo theme Mega Blocks have made, haveimprovedconnection between pieces.
One of the few advantages Megablocks has over LEGO is the Figures/People. They have 8 points of articulation, with LEGO Figures having only 5.
Overall, LEGO outdoes Megoblocks in numerous ways, making it the far superior product.

∙ 13y agoMega blocks are cheap and tend to fall apart easily.. for some reason they always pop apart. I once decided to spend my $90 on two mega blocks ships instead of one giant pirate ship and I have been regretting this decision everyday for 10 years.. Lego are made better and have a better resale value.. Just look at ebay..
