No, pharmacolically, Percocet is a combo drug containing both a narcotic, an opiate-like drug called "oxycodone" and an NSAID, such as Aspirin, acetaminophen (Tylenol) or ibuprofen. An NSAID stands for "Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug", and alone are non-narcotic and can be bought over the counter. Percocet is via prescription-only painkiller, a narcotic, because it contains the opiate, oxycodone. and is combined with either aspirin, acetaminophen, or ibuprofen depending on the brand and/or country for which it is prescribed.
No its an opiod.
This depends on which pain medication you are alternating with. Alternating with another opiate (morphine, hydrocodone, codeine, etc..) will not reduce your tolerance to Percocet because opiates possess a cross-tolerance with each other. Substituting an over the counter NSAID such as ibuprofen for Percocet will slowly reduce your opiate tolerance but the dosage of NSAID needed to even come close to the pain relieving effects of Percocet would have serious detrimental effects on your liver and stomach. The best and safest way to reduce your Percocet tolerance is to slowly reduce your dosage and space dosages out.
Percocets are a combination drug containing oxycodone (a narcotic pain reliever) and acetaminophen (an NSAID, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug). Acetaminophen is generic Tylenol. Salsalate is an NSAID. It decreases inflammation and relieves pain. It is not a narcotic, thus it is not addictive, is milder, and is used for different types of pain than Percocet. Salsalate has different chemical properties than Percocet and affects different neurotransmitters. Angie RN

What over the counter Nsaid is easiest on the stomach?
No, Percocet is a painkiller.
Xanax is not an NSAID. Therefore NSAID allergy would not be a contraindication to using Xanax. Take Xanax only as prescribed.
I checked the MSDS on my generic amoxicillin and it doesn't have NSAID - most probably don't, if not all. Now the question is are NSAID and Amox. compatible pharmacologically.
What over the counter Nsaid is easiest on the stomach?
Yes. Percocet exists, and Percaset is a common misspelling of Percocet.
