Strayer University is regionally accredited by Middle States Commission on Higher Education (3624 Market Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104; 215-662-5606). Regional accreditation is granted by one of six U.S. regional accrediting bodies, and represents accreditation for the institutions and all of the programs they offer.
Strayer University is not accredited by AACSB, NASPAA or ABET. AACSB and ABET are specialized or programmatic accreditations, often associated with a professional organization. They are optional, although certain institutions do select to pursue them.

Although the Strayer headquarters is now located in Arlington, Virginia, and the school's Online Division is in Newington, Virginia, the school has not sought accreditation from the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), which has responsibility for all colleges and universities in Virginia and a number of southern states.

∙ 9y agoStrayer university is a regionally accredited college which means the degree will be recognized which is good. Depending on what you are looking for from a college it will be a good school. Reviews do say that the financial aid is not superb but the pro is that the classes can be done to fit around your schedule.

Therefore, the coursework and degree you complete through this university will be recognized by all other colleges and universities as well as employers.
However . . .
Some employers (Intel for example) refuse to reimburse employees for tuition expenses they incur at online schools that lack professional accredition in the various academic disciplines. Strayer has "regional" accreditation, but it lacks professional accreditation in business and public administration.
