You asked about a 1960 25 coin from Liberia. 900,000 were produced in 1960. The coin is not especially valuable (US$2.75 in Extremely Fine condition and $5-$7 in Uncirculated condition), but is made of 90% silver, with and ASW (Actual Silver Weight) of 0.1499 troy ounces giving it a "melt value" of about $2.25 as of mid-February 2010.

You are asking about a 2 Cent coin from Liberia (KM#6). The coin is made of bronze and measures about 26mm in diameter. The front bears a portrait of a woman facing to the left, a small five-pointed star below her, and the words "REPUBLIC OF LIBERIA" surrounding the head. The back has a picture of a palm tree on the ocean, with the sun rising to the left and a sailing ship with a bird flying above it to the right. Above the tree are the words "TWO CENTS" and below it the date "1896". 323,00 examples of the coin were produced, all at the Heaton Mint in Birmingham, England.

According to the Standard Catalog of World Coins, this coin is worth US$6.00 in Fine condition, US$12.00 in Very Fine condition, US$25.00 in Extremely Fine condition, and US$60.00 in Uncirculated condition. An uncertain number were also produced in Proof condition - these are valued at about US$165.00 each.
