No. 'Freeware' isn't the same thing as 'free software'. The former is software that is free to use, but usually restricted in some way, either it has limited functionality, or expires after a certain length of time. Even if it's unrestricted though, it is still covered by the creator's copyright.

'Free software' on the other hand is software where the creator has voluntarily given up the rights, allowing people to use it or modify the code at will.

What are the seven forms through which software is available?

1. Packaged software is mass-produced, copyrighted retail software that meets the needs of a wide variety of users, not just a single user or company.2. Custom software performs functions specific to a business or industry. Sometimes a company cannot find packaged software that meets its unique requirements. In this case, the company may employ the services of programmers to develop a custom software to meet their needs , which usually may be expensive than the original packaged software.3. A Web application is a Web site that allows users to access and interact with software from any computer or device that is connected to the Internet.4. Open source software is software provided for use, modification, and redistribution. This software has no restrictions from the copyright holder regarding modification of the software's internal instructions and its redistribution.5. Shareware is copyrighted software that is distributed at no cost for a trial period. To use a shareware program beyond that trial period, you need to pay some money to the developers of the software.6 Freeware is copyrighted software provided at no cost by an individual or a company that retains all rights to the software. In this case, programmers typically cannot incorporate freeware in applications they intend to sell.7. Public-domain software has been donated for public use and has no copyright restrictions. Anyone can copy or distribute public-domain software to others at no cost.

What type of software can be copied freely and has no license agreement?

Pirate software Software companies may offer selected software for free use by home users. Business users may have to buy a licence, or may be allowed to use the software for free, paying annually for support. There is also Open Source software that may be offered for free use, though some open source software may need a licence obtained from the copywrite holder. So "Open Source" doesn't always mean "free!" In the linux world (of which Ubuntu is but one distribution) many programs can be downloaded and used for free, it depends on whether the programmer wants to offer their work for free or not.

Can an artists family assume the artists copyright?

"Assume"? If you mean "inherit", then yes. A copyright is a personal property right that can be donated, sold, bought, gifted, bartered, inherited, licensed, etc.

whst is mean by copyright free?

Images in the public domain, such as NASA imagery, would be copyright-free. People often use "copyright-free" to describe the millions of images on Flickr that carry Creative Commons licenses, but this is technically incorrect. The images are still protected by copyright, they simply have extraordinarily broad licenses that allow many uses without further permission.

What movies on YouTube are copyright-free?

Because copyright protection is automatic, virtually everything you encounter online will be protected. The exceptions would be works created by the federal government, and works donated to the public domain by their creators. On YouTube, it is safe to assume that everything is protected by copyright unless explicitly stated otherwise.
